ABOUT

For over a decade, Chef Honda has been a defining voice in Lisbon’s Japanese food scene. Known for his legendary broths at Honda Ramen and the soulful bowls at Hachiko Ramen, Chef Honda has always believed that authentic food should be “for the people”—simple, honest, and made with heart.

Having mastered the “soul food” of Japan through ramen, Chef Honda is now bringing another Japanese staple to life: Okonomiyaki. Often called “Japanese Soul Food” or “Japanese Pizza,” Okonomiyaki represents the same warmth and community that Chef Honda has cultivated throughout his career.

Born in Nepal and trained for over 10 years in the kitchens of Japan, Chef Honda brings a unique precision and passion to the griddle. At Okonomiyaki by Honda, we invite you to experience the next chapter of his journey—where fresh ingredients, traditional techniques, and years of expertise come together on a sizzling teppan.

MENU

Our menu is built around the art of the Teppan (iron griddle). While Chef Honda’s signature Ramen is still a part of our heritage, the star here is the Okonomiyaki—a savory Japanese pancake made with a base of flour, eggs, and shredded cabbage, then layered with your choice of premium ingredients.
